This policy describes what Spudies actually collects and how it is used.
Who we are
Spudies is an independent Irish maker. Contact: spudiebuddys@gmail.com.
We collect your email address when you request the free Starter Pack, join the collectible or Step Forward shoe-drop waitlists, enquire about a partnership, or buy a digital product or programme. We use it to deliver downloads or access links, send a purchase or signup message, and respond to partnership enquiries. You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.
Spudied check-in location
When you log a "You've Been Spudied" moment, we store a general area (rounded to roughly 10 km), the place name, and an optional social handle or nickname you choose to add. We do not store your precise address or exact GPS coordinates. The public Spudie map only shows a broad, county-level average, never your individual location.
Social handles
A social handle is only stored if you choose to add one to a Spudied check-in. It is never required.
Payments
Payments for our digital products, programmes and shoes are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store full card details. For digital orders, we record the purchaser email, product, price, currency and payment reference to provide download access and customer support. For shoe orders, we also collect the name, shipping address, postcode, country and other delivery/contact details you provide at checkout, together with the selected design, size, price and order reference, so the pair can be produced and delivered. Basic campaign attribution such as source, medium or campaign may be linked to a purchase where you arrived through a tagged link.
Order fulfilment and delivery partners
For physical shoe orders, we share the order details needed to produce and ship your purchase with a contracted third-party print-on-demand production and delivery partner and relevant shipping couriers. This includes your delivery name, address, country, contact details where required, and shoe design and size. We do not sell customer data to advertisers. Production and delivery partners may process data outside Ireland; relevant data-protection safeguards apply where required. Partner enquiries
The information you submit on the partner enquiry form (such as organisation, contact name, email, country and message) is stored so we can respond to that enquiry.
Analytics
We use usage analytics (such as page views, button clicks, game starts and check-ins) to understand what is working. Campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium and campaign may be included in analytics events and, for completed purchases, stored with the purchase record. We do not use these analytics to create sensitive profiles.
Children's privacy
Spudies is designed for children and families. We do not require children to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect more than is necessary. The Spudied check-in asks only for a general area and an optional handle. We do not knowingly collect precise locations or unnecessary personal information from children.
Browser storage
Some game progress, digital stamps and preferences are stored in your browser. Certain signed-in features may also save or synchronise account progress through our application platform, where enabled. Progress stored only in a browser may not transfer to another device and can disappear if browser storage is cleared.
How long we keep data
We keep the information above for as long as needed to deliver downloads or licensed access, respond to partnership enquiries, and operate the site. You can ask us to review or delete what we hold about you at any time.
